About The Gallery
Throatlake was conceived as a result of a longstanding love of fine art, passed down through family generations, and a desire to pass this passion on to others through making good quality art available as simply as possible at affordable prices.
Throatlake is very much a family business and we aim to offer a service which reflects how we ourselves would expect to be treated when making a significant purchase, such as a piece of quality fine art. We sincerely hope we have achieved this.
We believe art should be purchased not just in the hope of it appreciating in value, although of course it is a fine investment, but because the chosen piece is appreciated as a thing of beauty and an acquisition to be admired for many years to come by someone who appreciates it. This is how we ourselves source our offerings and we endeavour to ensure that each artist featured has at least one piece of work in our private collections simply because we love their work and enjoy living with it in our home. Our aim is to ensure that you do too.
